This thing hasn't been updated in forever...
I'm a writer and I am in the midst of working on self-publishing the first volume of a digital book project called Ernest Demon. I post up drafts of my chapters for the project for free viewing. The plan is to make the project multi-media so I am in the midst of looking for artists and commissioning them for character references, setting/background, and other elements.
The draft chapters are temporarily being posted up on Blogger:

When I went through a lot of artist searching, I didn't realize how much soul searching I would end up doing. I'll be the first one to point out that I'm not the greatest artist out there.
To that end, I often find myself wanting to support artists I like by commissioning them. Sometimes the artist isn't always available due to bigger jobs, or something going on in life. That's just how things go. Even so, I still would like the artist to have something neat to know that someone else likes what they do and supports them. Something more than a comment... I know that typically amongst artists they will give each other illustration gifts. If I was confident enough in my illustration skills then I would give it a try. I don't feel I'm ready yet, b
